Pemilihan Ketua OSIS ini merupakan salah satu contoh demokrasi yang ada di SMPK Santa Maria 2 Malang yang dipupuk sedari disini untuk menyuarakan aspirasi dan praktik demokrasi di lingkungan sekolah.

Pada Kamis, 21 Maret 2024, SMPK Santa Maria 2 Malang mengadakan kegiatan Rekoleksi Prapaskah yang diikuti oleh seluruh siswa kelas VII, VIII, dan IX yang terbagi menjadi dua aktivitas yakni rekoleksi untuk semua siswa yang beragama katolik dan semua siswa yang beragama non katolik. Rekoleksi ini diadakan untuk mempersiapkan diri akan wafat dan kebangkitan Yesus Kristus Juru Selamat kita. Rekoleksi ini diadakan dengan tema Let's Make the Earth Great Again!
